MORE ABOUT SAN SHOU LESSONS

In our San Shou classes, you will learn basic self defense techniques. Incorporate the skills you learn such as punches, kicks, blocks and throws to protect yourself from harm. While learning these new techniques, you will also be giving your body an intense cardio workout. Spar with your partners each class to improve your movements and awareness in a fight so you’re always prepared.

WHAT IS SAN SHOU?

Sanshou or also known as Sanda is a Chinese kickboxing. It was originally developed by the Chinese military based on traditional kung fu and modern combat techniques.

Its movements include full contact kickboxing with fast and powerful kicks and punches, as well as wrestling more such as takedowns, throws, sweeps and leg catching techniques.

What you can expect in our San Shou classes…

We make sure that everyone is properly equipped with protective gear in our classes. Put individual skills together to develop your preferred style of combat. Drill simple and effective combos to enhance your speed and strength. Sparing with different partners will expose you to many styles of fighting, therefore teaching you how to defend yourself against various situations. Apply techniques learned from our Kung Fu lessons to have the upper hand during our San Shou classes.
